END ON END is a site-specific architectural installation examining and repositioning the overlapping grids and neighborhoods of Pittsburgh. This installation explores the analytical perception of the extrusion of Pittsburgh’s mini-urban organizational coordinates. The arrangement of these grids end on end creates an undulating and jarring spatial entity which enacts the rapid movement between coordinate systems that characterizes one’s movement through Pittsburgh’s street and neighborhoods.
